Asuhan Keperawatan pada Anak A Dengan Perkembangan Bicara dan Bahasa di Tk Pembina Pertiwi Kabupaten Mamuju

Abstract

Language and speech development is a fundamental aspect of learning and social interaction, serving as the primary means of communication for children within their environment. The development of speech and language in children aged 60–72 months is a crucial stage in a child’s life, marked by increasingly complex communication abilities. At this stage, children are able to speak in longer and more structured sentences, express ideas clearly, and comprehend more complex instructions and questions. Storytelling therapy methods can stimulate children's interest and engagement in the learning process, making them more likely to participate actively in discussions and respond to questions. This research aims to implement nursing care for children with speech and language development challenges at TK Pembina Pertiwi, Mamuju Regency. This study employed a case study design, where the researcher selected one child experiencing speech and language development issues to receive nursing care at TK Pembina Pertiwi, Mamuju Regency. The criteria included children aged 60–72 months who showed signs of developmental delay in speech and language. Based on the research conducted, two nursing diagnoses were established: developmental delay and verbal communication impairment. Nursing care provided to patient A with speech and language development concerns revealed that the diagnoses of developmental delay and verbal communication impairment remain unresolved. Nursing interventions should be continued for the child, alongside providing education to parents and teachers to support more optimal development.
