Abstract
Pulmonary tuberculosis is a contagious infectious disease caused by mycobacterium tuberculosis and transmitted through droplets when the patient coughs or sneezes. Coughing techniques are effective to help remove phlegm and maintain respiratory hygiene. This study aims to implement nursing care for pulmonary tuberculosis patients at the West Sulawesi Provincial Hospital. The design in this study is to use a case study method in which the author took one adult patient with a diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis to be given nursing care in the isolation room of the West Sulawesi Provincial Hospital. Three nursing diagnoses were obtained based on subjective and objective data from patient Mr. L, namely ineffective airway clearance related to retained secre tions, nutritional deficit related to the inability to swallow food and knowledge deficit related to lack of exposure to information. Nursing care for Mr. L with pulmonary tuberculosis carried out for 3 days, obtained a diagnosis of ineffective airway clearance, nutritional deficit and knowledge deficit can be overcome.This scientific paper is expected to be a source of knowledge and a reference for future researchers in providing better nursing care to patients with pulmonary tuberculosis.,
