Abstract
Early childhood is a period of rapid growth and a sensitive stage; therefore, motor development, especially fine motor skills, is crucial. Suboptimal development may lead to negative impacts such as academic difficulties (writing, drawing, using learning tools) as well as delays in independence (buttoning clothes, tying shoes, eating independently). This study aims to implement nursing care for children with fine motor developmental disorders at TK Pembina Pertiwi, Mamuju Regency. The research design used a case study approach in which the researcher selected one kindergarten student at TK Pembina Pertiwi, Mamuju Regency, aged 72 months, with fine motor developmental disorders. After the assessment was conducted, a nursing diagnosis of growth and development disorder was established in An. E. During the first to the fourteenth day, An. E showed improvement in abilities. On the first to the third day, the child held scissors using both hands. From the fifth to the fourteenth day, the child was able to hold scissors with one hand. Thus, the child’s fine motor skills improved from the "poor" category to "adequate." Nursing care provided to An. E with fine motor developmental disorder for 14 days demonstrated a gradual improvement in abilities from the first to the fourteenth day. This scientific paper is expected to serve as a reference for future researchers, as a source of knowledge to enrich pediatric nursing teaching materials, and as guidance for schools and parents of children with fine motor developmental disorders, particularly in scissor-cutting skills.
