Abstract
Urinary tract infection (UTI) commonly causes pain, urinary elimination disorders, and fever. This case study described nursing care for a UTI patient in an inpatient ward. A case study was conducted on one adult female patient with uncomplicated UTI. Data were collected through anamnesis, head-to-toe examination, three-day observation, and nursing documentation. Four diagnoses were identified: acute pain, impaired urinary elimination, hyperthermia, and knowledge deficit. Interventions based on SIKI and SLKI were implemented from 31 May to 2 June 2025. Evaluation showed decreased pain, improved urination, normal body temperature, and increased patient-family knowledge. Three days of nursing care resolved the four nursing problems. Nurses should strengthen monitoring, education, and family involvement in UTI care.
