Abstract
Pregnancy care knowledge is essential from early pregnancy because it supports women in understanding pregnancy changes, using antenatal services, meeting nutritional needs, preventing pregnancy risks, and recognizing danger signs. This study aimed to analyze the effect of comprehensive education based on an interactive digital roadmap on the pregnancy care knowledge of first- and second-trimester pregnant women. A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group design was conducted at Griya Bidan Dhiyan, Banyuwangi, from 2 to 28 April 2026. Fifty-six pregnant women were selected using purposive sampling, comprising 27 women in the intervention group and 29 in the control group. For 21 days, the intervention group attended three guided educational sessions and one review session using an interactive PDF roadmap accessible via smartphone and equipped with hyperlinks, QR codes, and educational videos; the control group received standard antenatal care. Knowledge was measured using a 40-item questionnaire with valid items (r > 0.361) and good reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.854). Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk, Wilcoxon signed-rank, and Mann–Whitney U tests. The intervention group’s mean score increased from 59.54 to 92.41 (mean change 32.87), while the control group’s mean score increased from 55.34 to 58.53 (mean change 3.19). The between-group difference in score changes was significant (p < 0.001). Comprehensive education based on an interactive digital roadmap significantly improved pregnancy care knowledge and may be used as a complementary tool for structured antenatal education.
